Privacy Policy

Version 4.41

Effective date: October 2, 2026

Governing law: Arizona

Kingfisher Inc., doing business as Kingfisher Defense ("Kingfisher Defense," "we," "us," or "our"), operates kingfisher-defense.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through this website, why we collect it, how we use it, and when we may disclose it.

We designed the site to collect only the information we reasonably need to operate and secure it, respond to requests, provide requested materials, and meet applicable legal obligations.

1. Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies to visitors to our public pages and to anyone who submits one of our forms. It applies to information collected through the public website. Products, deployments, services, or other relationships governed by a separate written agreement with Kingfisher Defense are subject to that agreement with respect to the matters it covers.

This Privacy Policy covers the public website only. It does not govern data handled by Kingfisher, Kingfisher Watch, or another Kingfisher Defense product deployed for a customer. Product data is governed by the applicable customer agreement and is described separately below.

The site is intended for professional and organizational users. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

2. What we collect

When you request an evaluation:

  • Your name
  • Your organization
  • Your work email
  • Your phone number, if you choose to provide one
  • Your sector
  • Anything you choose to tell us about what you protect, your operating environment and your security requirement

When you request a demonstration: your name, organization, work email, your phone number if you choose to provide one, sector, and what you would like to see.

When you send a partner inquiry: your name, organization, work email, your phone number if you choose to provide one, and what you bring.

When you ask Hal, our website assistant, a question: the text of your question, Hal's answer and the page you asked from. Hal has no login, and we never attach your name, email, phone number or IP address to your question. Please don't type personal details into the chat.

Automatically, when you visit:

  • The country your request comes from
  • Browser type and version
  • Pages requested, and the date and time of each request
  • Referring page, where your browser sends one, with tracking parameters removed before storage
  • The campaign or link that brought you here, where one applies
  • Aggregate visit and page-performance statistics, where we choose to enable website analytics (see Section 4 below)

Kingfisher Defense does not retain full IP addresses in its website application records. IP addresses may be processed by our network and security infrastructure as necessary to route traffic, rate-limit requests, prevent abuse, and enforce access controls. In our website application records, we retain only the country associated with the request. Our network and security infrastructure may keep IP addresses in short-term access logs (no more than 7 days for questions asked to Hal) and may use a one-way coded form of the IP address for up to 24 hours to enforce rate limits.

3. What we do not do

  • We do not use third-party advertising or behavioral-tracking technology. No ad pixels, no ad-network beacons, no social media widgets, no data brokers, no cross-site tracking. Nothing on this site reports your visit to an advertiser or ad-tech company.
  • We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell it for money or other valuable consideration.
  • We do not share your information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • We do not use your information to build an advertising profile of you, or share it with anyone who would.
  • Submitting a form does not automatically subscribe you to marketing communications. We use contact information for marketing communications only if you separately request or consent to receive them.

Your phone number. If you provide one, we use it to respond to your inquiry. We do not sell, rent, or share it for marketing purposes, and we do not add it to a marketing list unless you separately request or consent to receive marketing communications.

4. Website analytics and security services

We may use first-party or service-provider website analytics to understand aggregate website traffic and performance, such as pages visited, visit frequency, and general geographic region. We use this information to operate and improve the site, not for third-party advertising or behavioral profiling.

If we materially change the analytics technologies we use or the information they collect, we will update this Privacy Policy.

Security and abuse prevention. We use technical safeguards and service providers to help prevent automated submissions, fraud, abuse, and other malicious activity. These services may process technical information associated with a request, such as network, browser, device, and request data, as necessary to provide security and abuse-prevention functions.

We do not use advertising cookies, and there are no third-party advertising cookies on this site.

5. Why we use what we collect

  • To respond to your request and, where appropriate, arrange an evaluation, demonstration or partner conversation
  • To answer the questions you ask Hal
  • To improve Hal's answers, using questions without identity
  • To send marketing communications by email when you separately opt in to receive them
  • To operate, secure, and improve the site
  • To meet legal and regulatory obligations that apply to us

We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

6. Product Data

Kingfisher Watch and all collected data are on the customer's own systems, and the customer owns and controls them. Kingfisher units are remote sensors and do not store data.

Kingfisher monitors cellular infrastructure, not individual phones. No bystander phone data is stored.

7. Where your information goes

Network-level access controls. We restrict access to this site from a small number of countries as a matter of company policy, enforced automatically through our network and security infrastructure based on the visitor's general location. This is a security and business decision, not a statement that we screen visitors for any particular legal status.

Service providers. We use service providers to support website hosting, data storage, security, abuse prevention, analytics, transactional email, inquiry management, scheduling, and related business operations. These providers may process personal information on our behalf as necessary to provide their services. We require service providers handling personal information on our behalf to protect that information and use it in accordance with applicable law and their agreements with Kingfisher Defense.

Hal, our website assistant. Hal's answers are generated by third-party AI service providers we select, which may include, but are not limited to, Amazon Web Services, Cloudflare and Microsoft, and may change from time to time without notice. These providers may keep question text for a limited time under their own terms, for example to prevent abuse. We send only the text you type, after automatically removing the email addresses and phone numbers we detect, and we never attach your name, email, phone number or IP address. We do not use chat questions to identify you. We may use questions asked to Hal, without identity, to improve Hal's answers.

Legal disclosure. We may disclose information where required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Kingfisher Defense or others.

Business transfer. If Kingfisher Defense is acquired or merged, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

We do not otherwise disclose your information to third parties.

8. Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect the information we hold against unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. These safeguards include encryption in transit and at rest where applicable.

No method of transmission, storage, or security can guarantee absolute protection.

9. How long we keep it

  • Evaluation, demonstration and partner requests: for as long as needed to respond and to maintain our business records
  • Phone number: collected where you provide one; used to respond to your inquiry and, if you separately opt in, to provide the communications you requested
  • Questions asked to Hal: we keep them up to 12 months to improve Hal's answers, then delete them. Our AI service providers' own retention is described in Section 7. We store them without your name, email, phone number or IP address attached, delete any we find that contain other personal details, and do not try to re-identify anyone, so we generally cannot find or delete one person's questions.
  • Server logs and aggregate analytics data: for a limited operational period, then discarded or retained only in aggregate, non-identifying form

You may request deletion of personal information we hold about you as described in Section 10. We may retain information where reasonably necessary for legal, security, recordkeeping, dispute-resolution, fraud-prevention, or other legitimate business purposes, or where retention is required by law.

Text Messaging (SMS)

Kingfisher Defense collects mobile phone numbers only from staff members who opt in to receive text messages. Employees opt in through the Kingfisher CMS admin console to receive work alerts about overdue review and approval tasks, content aging, and translation work. Consent is optional and is never a condition of employment; an employee who does not opt in receives the same alerts by email. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages to customers or website visitors. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at [email protected] or (480) 757-7733. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or messaging programs. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

  • request access to information we hold about you;
  • obtain a copy of that information;
  • request correction of inaccurate information;
  • request deletion of information;
  • exercise any applicable right to opt out of sale or sharing; and
  • exercise your privacy rights without unlawful discrimination.

Kingfisher Defense does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To exercise a privacy right, email [email protected], or use any form on our Contact page and describe the request in the text box. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before fulfilling a request involving access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information. We respond within the period required by applicable law.

If European or United Kingdom data-protection law applies, the legal basis for processing depends on the purpose for which the information is used. Depending on the circumstances, we may process information based on your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the site and responding to requests, or our need to comply with legal obligations.

We honor privacy rights available under applicable U.S. state privacy laws when those laws apply to Kingfisher Defense and the request. An email or any form on our Contact page is sufficient to submit a request; no mailed request is required.

11. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. This does not limit any right you hold under the privacy law of your own state or country.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top.

13. Contact

For questions about this Privacy Policy or privacy-rights requests, email [email protected], or use any form on our Contact page and describe the request in the text box.
